He was married to Marie Helene Eady at the time of his death.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don't expect any results but I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me

I know that this Man (Thomas A Beckett d 1917) wife is also buried with him, Mary d. 1937.
Thomas A Beckett

I have been told by the Cemetery that their only son Matthew was buried with them in 22nd June 1959.

The staff in Calvary Cemetery told me the only info. he could give was that Matthew's last known address was ???? New Orleans St Chicago, but thats impossible to look up. (said he could'nt give me the exact nos) His WW2 Reg Card says he was living in Kenmore Ave.

Have tried to get a birth cert to but no luck. Strange, someone must have know to bury him with his parents. Richard Flynn on his WW2 Reg card is probably his cousin Richard.......he had an uncle Richard, but he had passed before.

I am a member of Ancestry and nothing is showing up there.
Just wondering if any of you have any suggestions?

Off the top of my head ideas: (I'm assuming you are looking for information about Matthew Beckett)

1. Go back to the cemetery and try to talk to a different person, different people have different ideas about what information they can give out. Being exceptionally nice to the person you talk to is also a good idea.

2. Look for him in Chicago city directories. If you aren't in the area, you might need to hire someone to do this for you.

3. Get a copy of his death certificate from the state where he died.

Best of Luck.

Gail

Thanks Edina, have tried to get a birth cert, no record in Il.
The information I got was from Catholic Cemeteries, when I go over again next year I was call into the Cemetery Office and see if they can help.

I have another Question for a friend of mine that someone may be able to offer advice on.

She has a James Rowan born 1859, Binghamstown, Belmullet, Co Mayo, Ireland

All she knows about him is:

He went to the Klondyke during the Gold Rush.
He left and died on a Train Journey of a lung disorder

I found a James Rowan died 24th April 1915, buried in Oak Forest, Chicago, (might request an obit in the Ill forum)

Not much to go on but I'd appreciate your thoughts

OK folks, there are 25 different forums. I really doubt that anyone actually keeps up with all of them.

So anyway, educate me, if someone has a question about finding an ancestor, where is the most logical single place it should be posted so that it receives maximum exposure, and how should it be titled?

Also, what is the general opinion about hijacking, piggybacking on, or adding unrelated information to someone else's thread?

Answers are probably in your other thread here. It's generally best to start a new thread for a new question in the most appropriate forum, especially if you're asking a person-specific question. Active researchers will often pick it up if piggy-backed, but it's not the most effective way to get an answer. Check the numbers of "views" to see if folks are looking at your question. If you have a lot of views, but no answers, chances are no one has been able to find out anything.
