So was Roberta Logan ever found? After reading thru all this, I'd really like to know! Or did I skim thru too fast and miss the answer?

The Oregon Health Division's Administrative Rule 333-011-096 states that all birth records (including indexes) have a 100 year access restriction, and death certificates have a 50 year access restriction.

I have a perplexing problem with a marriage record I found and I would appreciate opinions from more experienced genealogists. I found this marriage record on FamilySearch.org for Marvin Allder and Mona Lee Stevenson. As you can see from the link, the transcription of the record states that the marriage place is Columbia county Arkansas. However, when you click on the link, and look at the actual record, it seems to indicate that, while the Banns, Marriage Affadavit, and Marriage License are in Columbia county, when it gets to Certificate of Marriage, Columbia has been scratched out and Lafayette and been written in. Then, when it gets to Certificate of Record, it is back to Columbia county. What does this mean? Was the marriage ceremony performed in Lafayette county but recorded in Columbia county? If so, does that mean "officially" they were married in Lafayette county or Columbia county? I have never seen this before so I don't know what to make of it.

It looks like they applied for the marriage certificate in Columbia County but the ceremony actually took place in Lafayette County. All the paperwork was done in Columbia County and they crossed off the county to indicate that the marriage actually took place in LaFayette County.
I just came across something similar about two weeks ago. Both parties were from MN. but were married in Illinois, where her father was a Minister.

I take it you are a subscriber to GenealogyBank. Are you satisfied with the the results of your searches on this site? Are there better sites that I should consider?

Ok all. I have been absorbed by the drama of one of the families in the cemetery where I volunteer. The father is Zollie Coffer Newnam. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=18779328I can find evidence of 11 children I know that at least 5 are buried in the cemetery. Still adding names. One son lived to 1955, his sister lived to 2007. I am trying to find an obit for her to see if I can locate where she is buried and link her with her family. Her name was Iris Maxine Newnam B- 21 Mar 1917 D-16 Apr 2007 in North Carolina. She married a Charles R Shepherd who died in 1995. Thanks for the help
