282 of 627 memorials added are burial unknowns (dispositions unknown).

Member for over two years, and keeps adding.

frown

And, sadly, I know that "reporting" that fact to an admin or to "edit" would be a waste of time.

What has findagrave become?

They are supposed to go to Info rather than Edit, but I know what you mean, GG. It is one thing when someone doesn't know better, but when you find a regular forum posting with a pile of them, it is just crazy :-(

well someone reported someone who made up two cemeteries here in Michigan and dumped their BU's in them

They were deleted, all of them

I was told that that member is still at it though..I hope they don't make anymore fake cemeteries!

I know BU's aren't the greatest thing to have or in the rules but do they cause a lot of harm?

I feel your pain. The big "contributor" in my area has at last count over 13,000 BUs out of about 34,500. Have informed info, but they are still adding them daily from the obits, despite knowing they are against guidelines. It's a bit discouraging frown

That silence speaks volumes.

And those who add when they have no idea what happened to the remains hear that silence, loud and clear.
