I'm looking for someone in the Texarkana area that might frequent the Museum of Regional History and The Wilbur Smith Research Library and Archives on State Line Avenue. Seeking info on the Meriwether and Taylor Grocery that was active 1890-1900 and listed in the 1899-1900 City Directory. Am hoping to learn more about the business, such as location, duration, etc. Will appreciate any help/suggestions. Thank you!

in the 1901 directory, there is a Taylor Grocery....maybe Meriwether sold out to Taylor

Thanks, gen-friend. There certainly were a lot of grocers in Texarkana in those days. I'm pretty sure Meriwether-Taylor was out of business by about 1901, but I'm hoping someone can find additional info in the Research Library and Archives. Really appreciate your input.
