Jammer - Weird I found Rufus' obit which places him in Farragut Cemetery but his wife is not names Omega unless he was married twice?

SIDNEY ARGUS-HERALD. April 15, 1943. (1).--"Farragut News".--Rufus Acord was born in Fremont county September 29, 1876, and passed away at the Hamburg hospital Monday, April 5, 1943, aged 66 years seven months and five days.

He was united in marriage to Miss Bessie Howard April 25, 1911. To them were born six children: Mrs.Wessel Bault, of Percival; Miss Ruby Acord of Lincoln, Neb.; Miss Mary Acord of Coin; Miss Thelma Acord of Des Moines; Miss Bernice Acord of Merrill and Howard Acord of Riverton.

Mr. Acord is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fritz Neihart, of Kearney, Neb. Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

He had been in failing health for several years, but did not become bedfast until the past two weeks.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Virgil Henderson. Interment was made in the Farragut cemetery.

(2).--"Riverton News".--"Services Held for Rufus Acord".--Funeral rites for Rufus Acord, 67, were conducted at the Methodist church in Farragut on Wednesday, with Rev. Virgil Henderson officiating. He died the previous Monday at the Hamburg hospital.

Those who survive are his widow; five daughters, Mrs. F. W. Bault, an instructor in the Percival school; Mary, an instructor at Coin; Bernice, an instructor at Merrill; Ruby, a registered nurse in Lincoln, Neb.; Thelma, a beauty operator in Des Moines and one son Howard, at home.

Interment was in the Farragut cemetery. Pall bearers were Cecil Magaw and Fred Stauch of Riverton; Riley Simpson, Orval Vaughn, Ed Nelson and Wallace Morgan, all of near Farragut.

Among those from Riverton attending the services were Fred and Nora Stauch, Mr.and Mrs. Cecil Magaw, Frank Ruston and Mrs. Fannie Stauch.

There is a A. D. & Louisa Acord buried in in Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Mills County, Iowa, along with their daughter Ethel. Louisa 1849-1906, A.D. d. 1921. Let me know if you wish details.

Those would be Rufus Parents and the child not for sure. Rufus did divorde Amega in 1905 accfording to the hamburg reporter newspaper Have not hound the article yet. but getting closer

Maybe this could be her if she divorced in 1905 could she have then married Fred Thompson in Fremont Co. Iowa.

In the California voters registration it is Omega J. Thompson. Fred is living at 522 S. Soto Av, and she is living at 522½ S. Soto Av. Fred H. is a Railroad brakeman.

Okay, I made a mistake, I typed in Fred instead of Raymond. Interesting result in the CA birth index:

Yes it looks right I am hoping it is Omegas son I will send for some documents in hopes to makde sure that they are one in the same. I learned my lesson once wrong info is entered it is difficult correcting it a long high way down the road.
