Pass this along to anyone who may be interested in joining us in this on-going project :-)
We have cemetery work days scheduled for weeding and tombstone cleaning. We are happy to report that we have received partial funding for a kiosk sign from the Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries. Installation of the new sign is set for May 12.
We will be spraying broadleaf weed killer in the plot areas and around tombstones. Grass seed will be planted in walking areas to help minimize weeds and muddy areas. We hope to level out some rough ground as well. We will put out the benches and plan to have a cement pad for the picnic table with hooks/chains to secure the items.
Upcoming Work Days:
April 14 – Bring gloves, yard tools, hand broom, soft brushes for cleaning.
May 12 – Installation of kiosk sign (need post hole digger, etc.)
June 9, July 14, Aug. 11 and Sept. 8
