Hi, I have hit the SSDI, which lists Rose dying in Aberdeen on may 17th, 1989....their is also something in the 1930 Census about her and Victor and thier sons:, John, Bernard, James, Raymond, Lawrence and Reginald and their is a record of Rose and Victor's marriage in Rock Valley on Nov. 20th 1917....then it all sort of goes blank.....if anyone can find and obit for Rose or Victor (but more especially Rose...she was a great, great aunt)....i am interested in where she and Victor are buried I would like to creat a memorial for her and see if I can get a pic of the grave. All advice and help is gratefully accepted.....I was unable to find anything in the Sioux County Newspaper Archives either....thanks...D.C.

Rosa was mentioned quite a bit in SD papers, much of it just little society tidbits...

I've been pulling these off of Genealogy Bank, which has archives for the Aberdeen paper.

This is the link to articles about Rosa, however Genealogy Bank is a subscription site. So in order to see them you would have to join:

Hi DC and Christina,

My name is Bob Johnson and I just stumbled across this forum. My Grandmother was Rosa Prunty and mother was Mary Prunty (Johnson). I had never seen those obituaries of my Uncles or Grandmother or Grandfather. I thought it was funny that my Birth notice was mentioned in one of them in 1959. My Grandmother Rosa's obituary said she died at age 87. She actually died at age 97 having been born in 1892. I would be interested to know how you knew of the family. I spent many fun summers in Andover and Summit where my father Dale johnson was from back in the 60's and 70's. Thank you.

BTW - all of them are buried at All Saints Cemetery in Andover which is just West of the church.

Bob: not sure wether you have been back since the last posts, but if so, look at your private messages...which will explain my relationship to your family....
