Anyone know St. Mark's on the Mesa Church in Albuquerque? Supposedly Theodore Vaughn Hobbie was interred there, but it's not listed on find-a-grave and looking at google maps it appears to just be a church. Googling also doesn't seem to bring up any obits indicating other people being interred there.

So is there any chance he's actually there?

It could be a small cemetery on church property. I suggest contacting St. Mark’s on the Mesa Church. They probably have burial records for the cemetery. Find-A-Grave has extensive listings of cemeteries, but does not list all cemeteries - yet.

St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa has a listing of columbarium fees here: http://stmarksonthemesa.org/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=wGYTyu2kUWA%3D&tabid=87&mid=669

This would lead me to believe they have a columbarium actively being used.

An obituary that tends to substantiate there is a columbarium in recent use at St. Mark's on the Mesa.

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday May 03, 2006
Jean F. Walter, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on April 29, 2006. Mrs. Walter has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1995 after moving from Bayside, NY. She was born on February 25, 1921. She honorably served our country in the United States Army as a Lieutenant and nurse during WWII. Jean would often remind her husband, Richard F. Walter, that she "outranked him in the military." Jean will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, a faithful member of All Saint's Episcopal Church in Bayside, NY, and as a person who loved to travel. Mrs. Walter was predeceased by her husband in 1999. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan J. Walter of Albuquerque and Julie A. Giglia of Kill Devil Hills, NC; her grandchildren, Paul M. McLeod of Richmond, VA and Desiree Walter-Davis of Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Walter's urn will be laid to rest next to her husband, Richard, at St. Mark's on the Mesa Columbarium.
