Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but I think it would be immensely helpful for anyone with PA roots. It's already helped me with about a dozen of my own relatives.

Currently only the 1906 birth index exists, while the years 1906-1961 are available for deaths.

I need 1799 to about 1820. Some of my Ohio ancestors were from Pennsylvania, but I can't find anything on them in PA. census records.

The only place you might find birth and death records that early would be in church records.
