Can anybody do an Austria lookup? My Grandmother told me the spelling of the last name was Tanczos, they changed their name to Danzinger when they moved to the states. Via New Jersey, my Great Uncle Rudy was born in Austria too, Great Aunt Anne in New Jersey & Great Aunt Marie and Grandma were born in Cincinnati.
I didn't sign up for the international version of Ancestry and am stuck here.

Charlotte, I am waiting on my Uncle Skip to get back to me, he has more information. In the 1910 census they were Tanzer on the paper, but looking at the actual document it looks like Tanzos, I have a paper that a nurse wrote down Tanczos from my Grandmother when she was in hospice. In 1920 they are listed as Danzinger. Jacob arrived in the US in 1906, Josephine and Rudolph 1907, and Anne was born in 1909 in New Jersey.
Looking at the census records listed as a boarder may be Jacob's brother Frank, and it is clearly spelled Tanzos. We were always told we were German, then later Austiran and then Hungarian.
The census also has Austr. Gerund(?) as place of birth but could be Germany, even though the last letter looks more like a D rather than a Y.
