Georgette Schaeffer
Georgetta D. Schaeffer, 94, of Arnold,
died of respiratory failure
Monday at Meridian Nursing Center
in Severna Park after a brief illness.
Mrs. Schaeffer was born in Mayo.
She was a teacher at Jessup, Hariri
ans and Arnold elementary
schools. In 1966 she retired after 22
years with the Anne Arundel County
Department of Public Works.
She was an active member of
Asbury United Methodist Church in
Arnold where she was a teacher and
superintendent of the Sunday school
and sang with the choir. Until 1991
she was a volunteer with Meals on
Wheels.
The widow of George J. Schaeffer
Jr., who died in 1940, she is survived
by one daughter, Barbara Hogsten
of Arnold; onfe son, George J.
Schaeffer HI of Levels, Wash.; one
sister, Bertha Rlden of Pittsburgh,
Pa.; nine grandchildren; and 18
great-grandchildren. She also was
the mother of the late Allan Wayne
Schaeffer.
Funeral services will be at noon
tomorrow at Asbury United Method*
1st Church, with burial in Cedar
Bluff Cemetery. Arrangements are
by Taylor Funeral Home.

MD 21093.
