Would anyone have access to an obituary for:

Karl S. Thornburg, 6/5/1906, b. Indiana - 9/12/1963, d. San Francisco

Found him in the CADI and he matches my guy from Indiana. His wife, Virginia is shown in an ancestry.com file as dying in WA in 1998. Seems odd location and birth date for her doesn't match what I had, so I'm hoping an obit for Karl will mention if wife survived. Also wrote for an obit in WA for the Virginia that is mentioned in the file.

On genealogybank there is a few articles on Karl S being a col. in the military, no obit that I could find.

Virginia Jean Tompson died 19 Apr 1963. She married Karl Sample Thornburg, son of Alonzo Clifford Thornburg and Mary Sample

So Virginia 1909-1998 is not the one you want.

Scott - thank you SO MUCH! I just knew the Virginia in WA was not the right person and this is terrific. I can verify with the cemetery that they are there and then list them and link to their parents in Find A Grave and then send something to the person on ancestry (if they care), that they have the wrong spouse. YEA. I'm jumping up and down in happy dance.
