Something I've noticed about Julie, she is very direct. Took me a while to not take offense. I can be that way too, but someone a few years ago, explained how a typed message does not convey the persons feelings or attitude especially if the receiving person doesn't know you, so make sure you use the LOL's or smilies or just read what you are sending before hitting send.

I too had a problem with responding to a Suggest A Correction that I got yesterday. It was long-winded member about the family Bible and asking was this personal that person's brother. This had nothing to do with Find A Grave. Some years ago I had entered a cemetery in WVA with no person connections to anyone. I finally got it that she wanted to link the father with the sons but didn't provide the memorial numbers. I had to hunt for the numbers myself. At the end of the conversation she said, "I don't understand why you put all those graves on Find A Grave if you were not kin to them." It was a real puzzle to her. I explained it was a grave registration site with most memorials made by members who weren't family, and Find A Grave is not really a place to post someone's genealogy. About 1/4 of her memorials were from the 1800's with unknown burial sites. She had been a member for 2-3 years and never read the FAQ or never the purpose of Find A Grave.

It seems we are talking to different languages at times, didn't it?

I'm with Julie on this one. You seem to be asking if what you did was wrong but you haven't said what it is you did.

The link you gave was not to Find A Grave, so if you did something on that other site, it really isn't up to us at Find A Grave to comment. (unless you took photos from F.A.G. and posted them there - which I am NOT accusing you of since that's not what you said you did I'm just suggesting that would establish a connection between that site and this one for discussion)

These are lists that were created usually before Find A Grave. They are to be used for family only. You can use a photo for your works, but not to be posted to any digital site. At least that is what GAGEN states. They own the photo and Find A Grave makes money, so they have that right to stop it being used. But on the other hand, some folks use it anyway. I don't, but I am one of the few.
