I went to the cemetery page and saw a link to a website. I followed the link. There is a letter
written by Edward Lupton. It certainly reads like the man was proud of what he had done! He was very methodical in his work.
I did search the site for him, and he is not listed yet. When he is here, his flowers should be turned off.
A very interesting letter, thanks. The City of Whittier, mentioned in the letter (written in 1975) as being interested in the City of San Buenaventura’s work with the memorial park, did, in fact, re-use a cemetery as a park, which, IIRC was completed within the last ten years.
