Dear Sir,madam ,
I hope you are doing well .
It's been years and I'm looking for the people who's responsible for the British War Cemetery in Iraq .
My Name is Hassan Hitaif and I'm guard of Amara War Cemetery.
could you please led me the official organization that in charge of Amara War Cemetery as no one visit this cemetery since 2003.
dear sir , during the past 8 years Iraq has faced many types of parties and especially in Amara where many people tried to destroy this Cemetery, but I stood and fought to keep this place as it is and I make it more peaceful with beautiful garden surrounded by different types of flowers . I have been going all over Iraq to check for the rest of the Cemeteries to asked their guards to help me finding the official organization that in charge of these War Cemeteries but unfortunately I found dead lands with no one around taking care. my father has served in Amara War Cemetery and his last will before he die was to take the best care of this Cemetery and I will never break his well .
I would that you could help me find the right people to speak to them .

kind regards !

Hassan Hitaif
guard of Amara War Cemetery.

Welcome to find a grave & the forums, Hassan. What an exciting job you have. Have you thought of transcribing all of the markers in your cemetery to add to the main find a grave website?

I know everyone else here would be happy to see those memorials added, we would like to leave tokens & flowers in remembrance of those memorialized.
