Hi. I'm looking for my grandmothers grave. I am told that she was probably buried at Tigo, in Tamuning, as it was the only Catholic Cemetery operating at the time. (According to my aunt, who was born close to that time period.)

I have been unable to find a cemetery called Tigo, or much information about Catholic cemeteries on Guam. I am told that "Tigo," is definitely not the same as "Pigo" cemetery.

Any information would be helpful.

Pigo Cemetery is a very large Catholic cemetery in Anigua, Guam. It's the most impressive cemetery I've ever been to. There are 20 foo tall statues of Jesus & the Apostles in the front. The cemetery overlooks a really beautiful beach and has many above ground crypts. There are even a couple of air conditioned buildings for crypts. People come and put written prayers inside mounted globes outside the crypts. I walked the whole place and read each grave and thought about the age and time that that person lived. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/6485103
