SPRING VALLEY - Leland A. Dabler, 81, of 304 Prairie St. died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at St. Margaret Hospital.

Born Dec. 30, 1920, in Manlius to Harve and Mae Sanden Dabler, he married Mary Jane Facer on March 5, 1947, in LaSalle. She died March 23, 1997.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers.

Surviving are one son, James (and Donna) of Ladd; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Billie Jean) Salcedo of Woodstock; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater.

A retired carpenter, he was a member of Carpenters Local 195 in Ottawa.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Manlius.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley, where visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight. The Rev. Jack Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.

Eugene McLaughlin, 72, of 1411 Lakeshore Drive, Casselberry, Fla., died Aug. 24, 2001, in a long-term care facility in Florida.

There were no services or visitation and cremation rites will be accorded. Orlando Direct Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.

Mr. McLaughlin was born Nov. 9, 1928, in Peru to John and Laura McLaughlin. He married Isabel Facer. After her death, he married Rayla Klinzman.

He moved to Florida from Illinois in 1974. He worked for Casselberry Public Works until his retirement. He has been a member of the operators union in Illinois. He was a member of the Catholic church.

Survivors include his wife, Rayla; three sons, Charles (Janet) and Richard (Sue Hochstatter), both of Mendota, and Robert of Bradenton, Fla.; four daughters, Ruth (Terry) Ramer of Mendota, Laurie (Karl) Smith of Hattiesburg, Miss., Kay (Virgil) Podloski of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kim Haney of Perry, Fla.; one stepson, Matthew Klinzman of Casselberry; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward (Carol) of Bemidji, Minn., Mark (Mary Lee) of Oglesby and Wesley of Troy Grove; and five sisters, Joan (Walt) Kofoid of Marseilles, Patty (William) Drennen of Granville, Louise Gaughan and Lorraine (Ken) Kasza, both of La Salle, and Marge (Pat) Kelly of Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; his parents; and five brothers.

Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.

REDDING -- William E. Sargent, 77, of Redding died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at home.

No services will be held.

Born May 18, 1928, in Oakland, he moved to Shasta County in 1982 from the San Francisco Bay area.

He was a truck mechanic and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Oakland.

Survivors include wife Gwen; sons William Jr. of Millville, Gary of Anderson and Michael of Alvarado, Texas; daughter Linda Dame of Cottonwood; sisters Betty Ochs of Hayward, Pat Solis of Fremont, Janet De Shelter of Union City and Birdie Burr of Centralia, Wash.; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, 1544 Market St., Redding, CA 96001.

Arrangements are being handled by Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.

Could someone also, please, look up Charles Facer, who died January 5, 1993? I believe he was a first cousin to the others. His parents would've been Charles Facer and Olive Cox.

If you are still in need of this information I can help with Viola. , my beloved grandmother. Sadly,the last surviving of the twelve siblings born to William and Minnie Facer, Viola Facer Paul O'Bannon, born August 9th, 1920, died October 28th, 2010 in Orangevale , Ca.
