We deal with tornado weather every summer. Most folks here have basements. I cannot imagine buying a home without one. There was a high school south of us that got hit with an F4 tornado during summer vacation and they learned that the hallways w

We didn't have Lincoln Logs - we had Tinker Toys. And I say we, but I mean Grandmother had Tinker Toys. They were at her house. We were allowed to play with her toys, but only if we put them up before going home. We played with them a lot. They were

When I was in Ireland, I got to see some Irish singers and dancers at a pub in a small town. I'm sure a Scottish singer would not like to be compared, but there is quite a bit they have in common. One of the best nights - great food, entertainment

I remember going to a reunion and talking to a male teacher of mine. He said it was horrible to stand in front of a class of 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students where the girls were wearing miniskirts and mesh hose - not pantyhose. None of the student d

Awesome that he could show you graves of those in the same squadron as your father. I'd love to be able to see some of those from my father's who served in Europe and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He also fought at the landing at Normandy.
